Meeting was called to order at 12:00PM
CLUB BUSINESS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS:
There were multiple guests from the High School in attendance at todays meeting with Bella.
Sunday, November 6th will be the date of this years Cabaret Fund Raiser and Dinner. Diane will be the coordinator for the event. More information to follow.
October 1st will be the Rotary Golf Outing and more information will follow from Ron Gunther.
Bella made a presentation on her first week in the United States. She attended a wekend orientation event for the exchange students. Bella attended the White Sox Game for the District 6450 event. Bella also provided a banner exchange between our club and her sponsor club.
The welcome party for Bella will be at LaLaLi on September 4 from 4-7PM. Hamburgers and Hotdogs will be served. Please join us for fun and fellowship.
We had a presentation today by Michael James and M. Grace Tucker from Voyager Interactive, Inc on a new Newspaper coming to Westmont. Michael is very involved in RYLA and Rotary. Michael provided a history of the newspapers. They plan on moving into Westmont in September 14 of this year. This paper will include local community news.
The newspaper makes sure they cover local events and people. They plan on being a part of the community. Local groups can post their information in the paper.

Who We Are
Our newspapers are spread across 13 communities and 3 counties, with a total population of 190,687 served. The Bugle and Enterprise Newspapers reach more than 75, 000 homes weekly. We cover Bolingbrook, Romeoville, Joliet, Plainfield, Shorewood, Lockport, Crest Hill, Downers Grove, Woodridge, Niles, Park Ridge and Morton Grove.
The Bugle -
Voyager Media Group purchased The Bugle Newspapers in Niles from the founding Besser family in 2003. Since then, the company has expanded the publication from Niles, adding newspapers covering Romeoville in 2006, Bolingbrook in 2007, Joliet and Woodridge in 2008 and Downers Grove in 2009. There are a total of six Bugle newspapers covering the news of 10 communities.
The Enterprise -
The Enterprise published its first issue Aug. 10, 1887. Owner U.S.G. Blakely acted as publisher, editor, typesetter, printer, reporter and advertising manager, keeping the residents of Plainfield informed of local happenings. He sold The Enterprise in 1934, nearly 50 years after he began it.
The Wayne Perry family was the owner and publisher of The Enterprise from 1985 through October 2009.
In October, 2009, The Enterprise became part of Voyager Media which includes Bugle Newspapers. The current publisher is Richard Masterson. managing editor Grace Tucker, sports editor Rob Valentin along with staff writers, Laura Katauskas, Deb Lively, Sherri Dauskurda, and Mark Gregory and Scott Taylor work hard every week to bring the community the best local coverage of news and sports.

The Shorewood Sentinel, started over 15 years ago, was originally part of The Enterprise group of newspapers.
